Setubal

Portugal’s hidden gem, a fishing harbour city forty minutes from Lisbon, with excellent transport links. The Mountainous Arrabida National Park has some of the best beaches in Europe and the Sado River has its own dolphin colony. Setubal’s Mercado de Livramento is one of Europe’s largest food markets and property prices are less than half of those in Lisbon.

Porto

Portugal’s second city is an economic powerhouse with its own beautiful beaches and a rich history in wine making. Its famous university and stunning Lello bookstore were allegedly inspirations for one-time resident JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series.

The Algarve

Portugal’s most southern district enjoys a Mediterranean climate (although being on the wilder Atlantic coast) and boasts luxurious properties and leisure facilities, as well as having its own airport.
